Disease Control (fungicide)
Lawn disease can take on many forms during many times of the year. Dollar spot, pictured on this page, is one of the most common and easily identified. Other diseases encountered in Michigan are: necrotic ring spot, fairy ring, leaf spot, red thread, pink patch and rust to name a few. Proper mechanical practices (mowing, watering, aerating, etc) can help control and prevent fungal disease however fungicides are available when traditional methods fail. It is best to apply fungicides as a preventative, right before the targeted disease is prone to start yet this can be impossible to predict at times. If any discoloration or disease is noticed, Noble Control will communicate that with you and help plan a course of action to limit the damage done. Notice some brown/yellow spots after the winter snow piles melt? This is usually snow mold. Most turf will return to its normal condition with a little light raking, some sunlight and a few mowing’s.
